Lukhanyo Moyake (tenor) and Siphamandla Yakupa (soprano) The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra will welcome in the New Year with their traditional Viennese New Year’s concerts – but in a new venue. The seasonal hit concerts will take place in the brand new Cape Town Convention Centre ll on Saturday, January 6, at 3pm and 7pm in venue  10  on the 2nd floor.

Says Louis Heyneman, the CPO’s chief executive: “While the format will be the same, we will be transporting you to Vienna via the Cape Town harbour, since the room has a view over the harbour!  We looked far and wide for a suitable venue, since the City Hall is being renovated, and were delighted to be one of the first to introduce these lovely spaces to the general public.”
