First Thursday at Grand Africa Cafe & Beach kicks off with Prince Kaybee this November 2020.
Grand Africa Rising is a series of residencies created with the intention of highlighting popular acts and showcasing them in a beautiful setting and broadcasting this to the world.
Kicking off on 5 November, 2020, the series will be celebrated on the First Thursday of every month for the duration of summer, and what better venue to launch the concert series than at the V&A Waterfront’s Grand Africa Café & Beach.
Party-starter
Multi-award winning DJ, producer, and TV personality and all-round party-starter Prince Kaybee will lead the charge as the first hand-selected act. Hot on the heels of his latest album entitled Project Hope, the mastermind behind dance-floor bangers like Charlotte, Fetch Your Life and Uwrongo is in celebration mode since he won Male Artist of the Year at this year’s SAMA Awards.
Prince Kaybee’s most recent album Project Hope is an initiative directed at upholding women and taking a stand against gender-based-violence, featuring 10 of SA’s hottest up-and-coming female vocalists, some of whom will be accompanying this grand event.
In the spirit of partying for a good cause, Grand Africa Rising will assist Prince Kaybee in raising funds for the Heidedal Youth Mission Centre (House of Hope) in Bloemfontein.
The Grand Africa Rising event will be inside the Grand Hall, which will be setup in compliance with COVID-10 regulations and safety measures, permits, and by-laws. For the over 18’s only.
