One of the world’s most celebrated illusionists, Rob Lake will be in Cape Town with his acclaimed show The Magic of Rob Lake at Grand Arena, GrandWest on Saturday, 5 October and Sunday, 6 October, 2024. Thereafter the show moves to Montecasino’s Teatro, Johannesburg from Wednesday, 9 October to Sunday, 27 October 2024.

Hailed “The World’s Greatest Illusionist” by NBC, Rob Lake is renowned for his grand illusions and elaborate theatrical interactive performances. His original illusions are uniquely presented as storytelling on the grandest scale.

Magical Oscar award
In 2008, Rob Lake became the youngest magician in history to receive the holy grail of the magic world — The Merlin Award – as ‘International Stage Magician of the Year.’ This award is magic’s equivalent of an Oscar.
In addition to creating and designing his own illusions, Rob Lake also serves as magic and illusion consultant, illusion designer, and creative consultant for multiple Broadway productions and other big scale shows.
Rob Lake also dedicates time, support, and his voice to causes he holds near and dear to his heart – supporting members of the military and animal rescue. In fact, his own furry companion Roger, a Yorkie mutt, was once a rescue dog, and has become a popular part of his shows, as well.
