Goldfish are back with Goldfish Submerged at Shimmy Beach Club’s 7th edition of the popular Cape Town summer residency.
Following a sold-out international tour of Europe and the US, these hit-makers will resurface on Sunday, 9 December 2018 for the first of six shows supported by DJs and performing artists.
Talk to Me
The electronic duo, made up of David Poole and Dominic Peters who are famed for No one has to know and Talk to Me, features these two jazz musicians who have been reinventing the art of DJing with live instrumentation and vocals. Their dynamite live shows offer a fusion of house with jazz instrumental interludes, which has snagged them huge fan bases across the world.
The band scoured the globe for unique, cheeky samples which they twisted into fun hooks and choruses. Stirring African rhythms and melodies into the mix helped them evolve a uniquely South African house sound. Their burnished grooves and a consistent string of chart-topping hits has positioned the duo as one of the most influential live electronic groups in dance music.
Diarise the dates
With festival-style food, world-class production and Shimmy Beach Club’s great views of the ocean and Table Mountain, Goldfish Submerged offers a perfectly curated entertainment line-up this summer.
Goldfish Submerged sets sail on Sunday, 9 December and then runs on 16, 23, 26 and 29 December 2018 with the grand finale on Friday, 4 January 2019.
