Get out and dance every Saturday at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre at free music concerts. Here are the gigs for March 2019. They’re all summer sessions presented by Mercedes-Benz.

Peter Ndlala entertains with a repertoire of Afro-jazz. He started his musical journey with the Music Action for People’s Progress jazz ensemble and performed at the Guinness Jazz Festival in 1992. He has since performed with renowned artists such as Judith Sephuma, Lira, R&B singer Rashaan Patterson and the late HHP.

Formed in 2012, this Cape Town band impress with their passion for storytelling through music and lyrics.

Established in 1974 by Bob Sinicrope, the popular jazz group is comprised of over 75 students in eight different jazz categories. They have opened for James Taylor, Poncho Sanchez, Elvin Jones and T.S. Monk. Milton also has a close relationship with two South African township groups, the Amy Biehl Foundation and the Music Academy of Gauteng.

Mae Sithole Band fires up the stage with a catchy assortment of pop, jazz, soul and funk. The band has performed at the National Arts Festival of South Africa as well as the La Fete de Musique in Geneva, Switzerland.

Opening for Mae Sithole is 16-year old opera singer, Bianca Solomons from Kraaifontein. She will perform from 6.30pm to 6.50pm. Bianca’s musical journey started in grade two and she has since performed at numerous competitions and events. She has received many medals and certificates including her Western Province colours.

A classically trained singer/songwriter, this Cape Town born opera and jazz singer started her musical journey at 17 and has since performed with legendary artists such as Lira, MiCasa, Kyle Shepherd and Buddy Wells.
