Zahara has released Nqaba Yam. It’s the title track of her new album due on 13 August, 2021. Nqaba Yam is another teaser ahead of the album, which was delayed as South Africa went into Covid-19 related lockdown.
Bulelwa Mkutukana, best known by her stage name Zahara, hopes this will keep fans happy in the meantime.
The multiple SAMA award-winning singer/songwriter’s track was arranged and recorded with long-time producer Mojalefa ‘Mjakes’ Thebe in Johannesburg. Says Zahara, “This song is a celebration of strength and finding hope when all odds are against you. I cannot wait to hear how the fans react to the song as it is one of my personal favourites from the album”.
You can download Nqaba Yam on all digital streaming platforms.
The singer previously released Nyamezela, a single which was a precursor to her fifth upcoming album. The album is a succession to her previously released album Mgodi, that went gold within a day of it launching.

The most decorated artist in South Africa with over 30 awards in total, Zahara was named one of the BBC 100 Women 2020 – a list celebrating inspirational women across the globe.
