This week’s highlight on the Barleycorn stage is three-piece, Jenny & the Jameses. Peter Watson presents a bill with support acts Amy Tjasink and The Flip Side on Monday, 27 November at 8pm.
Jenny & the Jameses
It’s time for Jenny and the Jameses second album launch and this original Celtic folk band now presents a tight set honed after numerous national gigs, plus a recent tour as support act for Johnny Clegg’s World Tour to Holland.
Formed in 2015, the ensemble comprises singer / songwriter Jennifer Eaves on lead vocals, guitar and piano, James Hall on violin and vocals, and multi-instrumentalist James Harvey on accordion, harp, flutes and vocals.
Their debut album, Untitled, was also released in 2015, and after a year of touring and composing new material the band is ready to release their second CD Fallen Tree.

Amy Tjasink
Amy is a young singer-songwriter who wins crowds over with her swift hand on the guitar and sweet vocal tones. She is best known for her original pop. She’s released two EP’s since August last year, the first being a country inspired collection and the latter a pop release. She’s currently busy with her first full studio album.
Amy has been singing and playing music since she was 15, and graduated her music studies saw her being awarded Student of The Year. The past 7 years have been spent honing her talent and stepping into the spotlight in 2016 when she released her first EP. She’s also scooped a chart-topper – a collaboration in song writing and performance for the song Get Wild. Hear her this summer at Radisson Blu and Mojo Market & The Mess. The Flip Side
Acoustic musos Richard Duane on vox and guitar, Geoff Broomberg on vox, guitar and perc and Rael Yudelman on vox, guitar, keys and harmonica make up The Flip Side. Richard and Geoff were the backbone of Kick Out, then hooked up with Rael to specialize in 3-part harmonies. They’re influenced by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and perform tributes to them. At times they have 10 acoustic guitars on stage – 12 and 6 strings all in different tunings.
