Due to public demand, Jonathan Roxmouth returns to Theatre On The Bay from 4 to 28 March 2026, with Key Change – My Favourite Pianists.
In the ever-popular show, Jonathan showcases the various piano based comedians, singers, and entertainers who have shaped and influenced his musical tastes through various phases of his life. Backed by a top-drawer five-piece band, Jonathan will be playing and singing the music of piano rockers such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Elton John and Billy Joel, pianists like Liberace, Richard Clayderman and David Foster, plus singers such as Carole King, Burt Bacharach and Freddie Mercury, all in a personal pianistic performance.
Band members include Kieran Woolmington on guitar, Cole Matthews on bass, Lindzi Moore on cello, Stef Lawrence on drums, and Michael Wilson-Trollip on keyboard.
Jonathan Roxmouth is a multi-award-winning South African musical theatre star whose career bridges West End/Broadway-style productions, international touring, and orchestral concert performance – with The Phantom of the Opera defining his global reputation. Although he performs globally, Roxmouth regularly returns to South African stages. His recent shows have been described as a “homecoming” after years touring abroad, reaffirming his strong local fan base.
His performances have earned multiple Naledi Theatre Awards and Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards, South Africa’s top theatre honours.
