Foyer Sessions @ the Masque Theatre have staged the likes of singer-songwriter Maya Spector, as well as flugelhorn player Etuk Ubong.
The next bill will be hip hop/jazz ensemble MSMF, featuring Keegan Steenkamp on trumpet, Dylan Fine on guitar, Sibusiso Matsimela on bass and Tefo Mahola on drums. They’ll be up on Sunday 26, March at 6.30pm.
After a successful year with well-received shows at Muizenberg Festival, Foyer Sessions @ the Masque Theatre and a residency at Cape Towns popular Neighborgoods Market at The Old Biscuit Mill in Salt River, MSMF is gaining in momentum.
The Quartet searches “to create freedom within their composition”, which draw from hip hop and contemporary, old school and South African jazz.
Expect a dynamic evening of hard-hitting melodies and improvisations.
