A bumper bill awaits fans of Afrikaans ‘musiek’. Buoyed on by overwhelming demand, an extra show of Afrikaans is Groot has been added to the bill. South Africa’s biggest locally produced Afrikaans concert, returns to the Grand Arena, GrandWest on Friday, 17 March and Saturday 18 March, 2017. There will now be two evening performances and a matinee show.
So who can you see?
On the bill for this 2017 music spectacular are Steve Hofmeyr (of Engele Om Ons and The Country Collection – If You Could Read My Mind fame, https://www.facebook.com/Steve.Hofmeyr/), Juanita du Plessis, Karen Zoid (from The Voice SA, https://www.facebook.com/voicesa/), Bobby van Jaarsveld, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Elvis Blue, Laurika Rauch, Jay, Bok van Blerk, Jannie Moolman, Corlea Botha, Dewald Wasserfall, Riana Nel, Lianie May and a few other surprise performers.
Concertgoers can look forward to hearing some of the greatest Afrikaans number one songs, as well as new and old hits that have made these featured artists famous.
The matinee show is a family friendly event and children over the age of three are welcome to come and watch their favourite Afrikaans singers in action. The evening shows start at 7pm and the afternoon show will start at 1pm.
Tickets to the Saturday shows have already sold out. So fans can now purchase tickets to the Friday night show.
