Breakdancing has global appeal

Showcasing some of the most jaw-dropping breakdancing moves ever committed to film, the  inspiring documentary tribute, Shake the Dust, highlights the uplifting power of music and movement.

A work by executive producer and rapper Nasir “Nas” Jones and journalist-turned-film-maker Adam Sjöberg, Shake the Dust chronicles the influence of breakdancing, exploring how it strikes a resonant chord in the slums, favelas and ghettos of the world and far beyond.

An AfriDocs movie, the film screens on Sunday 12 February on BET. It is produced by Sjöberg. Watch a short YouTube clip:
