The free Cape Town Arts Festival happens at the Castle of Good Hope on Busking Day, Saturday 29 October 2022, between 10am and 6pm. There’s loads of acts on the bill – see here.
Some of the headline musical performers include Flash Ikumkani, rising star Anneli Kamfer, and Umlilo Afro Jazz Band, who will all vie for audience attention as they fire up festival goers who will have spent a day in the company of musicians, poets, buskers, live sculpting, mime, street art painting, jugglers and other performance artists.
Mime, poetry, Zumba
The Cape Town Arts Festival has changed in format to a structure comprising year-round projects and training programmes, and has taken many buskers under its wing.
Other aspects of the diverse line-up of experiences include music, mime, poetry, Zumba, yoga, Tai Chi, live painting, live sculpting, a wellness and food market plus a Cape craft exhibition, aside from the many renowned local musicians.
