Dalin Oliver’s new one-man show, Adulting, runs in Cape Town during the month of September, 2019. The Baxter Theatre once again hosts this Cape Town-born teacher-turned-comedian. Adulting will be staged from 16 to 21 September.
Nostalgic and diverse
Dalin started his on-stage journey in 2010 and has captured audiences with his clean-cut, energetic brand of comedy that has been described as “easily accessible, nostalgic and diverse in the best kind of way.”
The 30 year old is one half of Good Hope FM’s SA Comics Choice Award nominated comedy radio show, Happy Hour, as well as the Sports Presenter on the weekday Breakfast show.
His passion for the performance arts was triggered in 2010 when he won the UCT leg of Good Hope FM’s Campus DJ Search. A few months later the comedy bug bit and he ditched the chalk board for a microphone and the stage.
Comedy Central Africa
Career highlights including being featured on Comedy Central Africa, writing, producing and performing three one man shows, releasing his DVD I Came, I Taught I Left, making his big screen debut in cinemas nationwide as one of the lead actors in SA action comedy Finders Keepers and being one of the featured acts at the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival, as well as the opening act for industry stalwarts such as Riaad Moosa, Barry Hilton, Stuart Taylor and Nik Rabinowitz.
Dalin Oliver is one of the rising stars of the South African comedy scene, so keep an eye out for him.
