Our wineries have not only contributed to the local economy but have also helped define the area as one of South Africa’s premier wine destinations. This milestone is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of generations of winemaking families.
“We look forward to welcoming newcomers as well as loyal supporters of Durbanville to enjoy what our members have planned over the two days in April.”
Exceptional wines, ideal terroir
Despite the relative youth of many of its private labels, Durbanville wine’s speedy rise to prominence in the local and international wine scene speaks volumes. The region’s ideal soils, combined with a diverse range of climatic zones and the expertise of its winemakers, have resulted in consistently high-quality wines. These elements work in harmony to produce wines of exceptional depth, complexity, and character.
Durbanville has earned widespread acclaim for white and red varieties, with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinotage, but also world class styles such as Bordeaux blends standing out as particular highlights.
