Forget about supersized foods, there’s a new level of enormous eats to be had – and in Ginormous Food food fanatic Josh Denny is out to discover them all!

This is a gigantic gastronomic adventure to find the biggest-and-tastiest foods in all of America. Starting in his hometown of Philadelphia, Josh discovers the delights of a 4kg superhero sandwich before moving on to Baltimore, where the biggest pizza in the state awaits.

But that’s not all – there’s also a 13.6kg stack of pancakes to tackle before Josh hits the road for the historic city of Richmond, where a former fireman is fixing up something called the ‘Flatliner’. One thing’s for sure: Josh will have to loosen his belt in-order to tackle this Ginormous Food.

Spread Bagelry

“It’s almost the size of the entire table,” Josh Denny said of the oh so eloquently named The Whale, a monstrous bagel sandwich served at Spread Bagelry. Piled high with white fish salad, buttery lox and ruby-red sliced tomatoes, this mighty morning meal tips the scales at a whopping 6.3kg’s. “I feel like you should serve this with a harpoon,” Josh joked to the owner, Larry.

Jack’s Sandwich Board

As Josh said, “Philadephia is the city of sandwiches”, so it was only fitting that he dropped by Jake’s Sandwich Board to taste what the restaurant calls ‘The 100/100’, a 60-centimetre-long meat lover’s masterpiece.

Two layers of crispy bacon, a hefty mound of succulent pulled pork, hot mayo and multiple handfuls of provolone – they all come together on a split roll to create a 4-kilogram sensation.

Trolley Car Diner

When visiting Trolley Car Diner, Josh had to get his hands-on Car 23, which he explained is “a trolley-shaped massive loaf of stuffed French toast deliciousness”.

This next-level breakfast is 15-centimetres tall and features layers of cinnamon-raisin bread and sweetened cream cheese spread, laced with fresh fruit.
