After a year and a half of writing and recording in Durban and Cape Town, musician Gary Thomas is ready to launch a series of EPs into the world under his new collaborative artist name Moodship.
Gary Thomas presents Moodship EP Launch
The Slave Church Museum
40 Long Street, Cape Town
Thursday 18 April 2019
The Cape Town EP Launch concert is the first in a larger South African tour, the first nationwide tour since 2015. Says Gary, “Moodship is basically my new artist name. It will serve as a band name for all things solo, collaborative and trio based”.
Since his last South African tour, the guitarist performed 30 concerts across Europe, which began the process of recording his new musical Moodship outfit. He most recently won an Ovation Award at the 2018 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.
His Slave Church Museum gig will include several special guests joining him on stage.
