Reverand Dr. Tebo Moema hosts I Was In the Closet – the only show in Africa chronicling the LGBTI community’s coming out stories. The production brings light to some of the struggles faced by the LGBTI community in South Africa.
Seasoned media personality Dr. Moema, together with GauTV on channel 265, hope to take viewers on an entertaining and informative journey every Monday night at 9.30pm. I Was In the Closet provides a platform to discuss the journey of sexuality with some of South Africa’s personalities, who share their personal stories.
Issues that divide
In each episode, Dr. Moema features a member of the LGBTI community, including celebs. Using his substantial skill, Moema carefully tackles issues regarding homosexuality that divide many communities throughout the country.
Sharing life lessons
“I would love us all to have open discussions and hear each other out as equal members of society, and I Was in The Closet is a programme to offer a step in that direction,” says a delighted Dr. Moema. “We are not only telling closet stories, but also sharing life lessons on marriage, having children and living life to the full within the LGBTI community of Mzansi,” he added.
