When someone gets into a serious relationship, one of the things they consider is where they’ll live when moving in together – will one move into the other’s existing home, or will the partners move into a completely new residence? Yours, Mine or Ours tries to help couples make that decision. This real estate show will be broadcast Fridays at 3pm from 22 September 2017 on SABC 3.
‘Yours, Mine or Ours’
The half-hour series enlists boisterous real estate agent Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset) and interior designer and decorator Taylor Spellman to help couples, living under separate roofs, figure out which residence they should call home.
From twosomes on a quest to move in together before getting engaged or married, to a mother and son wanting to move back under one roof, Reza and Taylor comically vie to win each couple over with their ideas. Each week, Reza and Taylor help a new couple decide if they should renovate one of their current places to satisfy their partner’s needs and finally be under one roof, or if they should combine their budgets to buy a new home.
As Taylor presents three dimensional design renderings showcasing how to transform each of their existing spaces to accommodate their partner, Reza will tempt them with two brilliant new properties they can make all their own. In the end, the couples will keep everyone guessing as they weigh their options before making the ultimate decision of yours, mine or ours.
Meet The Stars
Reza Farahan
The man behind the mustache, Reza was born in Tehran, Iran, and raised in Beverly Hills. He is a prominent player in the Los Angeles real estate world and one of few openly gay Persians in the community. He tied the knot with his partner Adam on the last season of Shahs of Sunset. His love for real estate dates back to his childhood when he would read through the Sunday home section and pick out the houses he wanted his parents to tour. With nearly 20 years of experience, he works at Keller Williams Reality on the Sunset Strip, but started his career at DBL, which was bought out by Sotheby’s International Realty. Farahan’s passion for houses translated immediately into dollars, selling his first home within weeks of becoming a realtor. Within 6 months of getting licensed, he converted a majority of his friends and family who were renting, into first time home buyers. Recognized for his accomplishments by every firm he has worked at, Farahan has created a high-end niche clientele based on referrals and repeat clients. His clients include Grammy award winners, stars of TV and film, as well as, members of Middle Eastern royalty.
Taylor Spellman
A skilled interior designer and staging expert, Taylor Spellman has an impressive stable of clients, including Ryan Serhant from Million Dollar Listing New York. Her portfolio of real estate heavy hitters and private clients entrust her and her firm, TAYLOR SPELLMAN New York, to design their multi-million dollar properties. An average day for Spellman involves upwards of 30 million dollars’ worth of real estate under her direction. She has the talent of mixing high end one of a kind pieces with treasures found on an afternoon in the Goodwill. Whether she’s designing a 10 million dollar penthouse, the lobby of a luxury high rise or a showroom for a fashion client, her penchant for witty banter paired with her signature bold design style has made her a standout in the design community at large.
