The Longest Date is a high-octane, extreme adventure dating competition that starts on SABC 3 in February 2019. The show will be hosted by Chris Jafhta.
In a first of its kind, The Longest Date takes 16 diverse, interesting, but unlucky-in-love singles and matches them into couples. The eight new couples then embark on a journey to experience the most extreme adventures Mpumalanga has to offer, all the while trying to make a love match.
The Longest Date revels in extreme adventure, but the best moments come from couples finding love in the most unexpected locations. The Longest Date requires that the couples put themselves on the line, both figuratively and literally.
Shanitha Rathilal Bhageloo, Head of Genre: Entertainment says: “We push boundaries in this social experiment to see how people develop relationships in a space that is conducive for romance – but also physically and mentally challenging. It’s about finding commonalities when we need someone to cling to in an unfamiliar environment, which is interesting to see. While the stakes are high the outcomes are very unpredictable – I can tell you that much!”
The Longest Date is coming to your screens on Monday 11 February 2019, at 7:30pm, only on SABC3. #TLD
