Tintswalo Collection has launched a new Thermal Night Safari & Stargazing experience that reveals the hidden nocturnal world through cutting-edge thermal imaging technology.
Available in the greater-Kruger at both Tintswalo Safari and Tintswalo Manor House in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, as well as Tintswalo Scops Rest in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, this authentic nocturnal safari reveals the hidden lives of creatures rarely encountered during daylight hours.
Cutting-edge thermal technology
The immersive after-dark safari adventure offers guests an entirely new way to experience the bush after sunset, combined with expert-guided wildlife encounters and the spectacular beauty of Africa’s night skies. Whether spotting a civet, genet, porcupine or other elusive nocturnal species through cutting-edge thermal technology, the experience offers a memorable new dimension to a luxury African safari beneath the dazzling Milky Way.
Departing after dinner, guests join an experienced guide on a night drive equipped with state-of-the-art Pulsar thermal imaging binoculars linked to an iPad display. Rather than relying on conventional spotlights, the technology detects the heat signatures of animals, allowing guests to observe elusive nocturnal wildlife in remarkable detail while minimising disturbance to the natural environment.
A guided stargazing session
The experience concludes beneath the vast African skies with a guided stargazing session. Guests are introduced to prominent constellations, planets and celestial navigation, while discovering the fascinating stories and mythology behind the southern skies, accompanied only by the sounds of the surrounding wilderness.
