Trilogy of Notes: WGRUV Dance Company WGRUV Dance Company, South Africa’s newest contemporary ballet dance company will present Trilogy of Notes – A Symphony of Dance at four theatres across Cape Town and Gauteng in October, November and December this year.

Opening the program is a premiere of a restaging of Vivace Motifs, choreographed by the renowned American choreographer Jessica Lang. Lang’s work iscelebrated for its visual beauty and emotional depth.

The second piece, Permission to Fall, is an original work by choreographic artist and dancer, Brad Beakes, who joined WGRUV in residency for two weeks and created this piece with the dancers. creating with the dancers, set to music by Ryan Lot and Ymusic.

The evening will culminate in the 1950s era with a dynamic piece by dancer and creator, Michael Trusnovec, titled The Weight of a Moment.  This original work will feature live musician Emmanuel Paul playing the bass.

Every step, every note, has been meticulously crafted to ensure that this performance resonates deeply with each person in the audience. We wanted to create something that isn’t just seen, but felt – something that touches the heart and stays with you long after the final applause,” says Holly Gruver, Artistic Director of WGRUV Dance Company.
