Get your outfit ready for a fabulous retro revival at the first ever vinyl-only Good Hope FM Kinky Afro Party happening at Hanover Street, GrandWest on Friday, 1 December.
Kinky Afro parties are wildly popular because of the type of music that is played on the night – but this time, the DJ’s are taking it up a notch. Cape Town’s true old school DJ’s will be showing off their amazing skills, spinning vinyl, banging out chart topping tunes from the 80’s & 90’s.

Hosted by Good Hope FM’s breakfast show presenter and king of Kinky Afro, Nigel Pierce – this promises to be a pretty epic party. DJs include Doctor Jules, Gary Poole, DJ Catt and Haydn. Tickets are only available at the door, on the night.
Dressing up in 80’s & 90’s gear before hitting the dancefloor will put partygoers in line for some great best-dressed prizes.
