Cape Town’s favourite rude, raunchy and rocking country cabaret is reborn, once again. Angels On Horseback: Reloaded is a sexy, sassy and at times surreal music show featuring the outrageously talented Genna Galloway and Alicia McCormick. In the saddle, directing, is Fiona du Plooy. The show opened last year to much acclaim, and is now back for a run at the Kalk Bay Theatre.

Hilarious original songs give country a makeover, a slap down, and an asskick. They are guaranteed to get your house back, your heart unbroke and unleash your inner cowhand.
And there’s a back story to this reloaded production – the very first version of Angels was a Fleur du Cap award-winning musical that surfaced in 2009. Written and performed by Fiona du Plooy and Candice D’Arcy , with direction by the late, great Peter Hayes and original musical compositions and performance by Gene Kierman and Jaimie Jupiter, it was a “daring, dirty and delicious” success.
So there’s no reason not to saddle up and head on down to the Kalk Bay saloon …
