Loveable Oom Schalk soon returns to The Masque Theatre to tell his stories. F Creations, in partnership with The Merry Scholar, is presenting Oom Schalk, From the Heart. They invite patrons to go and listen as actor David Muller transports you back in time through the words of the famous character that Herman Charles Bosman created.
Warm-hearted character
Muller, directed by Celia Musikanth of Circle Productions, has been telling Bosman’s stories for several years now. The set is simple, the stories classic, and the performance is captivating. Audiences will love the warm-hearted character of Oom Schalk Lourens and the charm with which his stories unfold.
During this run Muller will entertain audiences with a combination of five of Bosman’s stories. Three of these are new to his repertoire of Oom Schalk stories and are sure to delight. These are White Ant, Love Potion and Music Maker.
‘Love Sex Fleas God’
Muller has also performed several other one-man shows. In 2016 he debuted his adaptation of the Bruce Clark book Love Sex Fleas God.
Oom Schalk, From the Heart opens at the Masque Theatre, Muizenberg on Wednesday 17 January and runs until Saturday 20 January 2018 in the foyer
