Atlantic recording artist Cardi B has released her long anticipated debut album, Invasion of Privacy. On 6 April 2018 the album is already RIAA Gold certified – making Cardi B the first female artist to achieve a Gold certified album on the day of its release.
The record-breaking album was heralded by surprise releases, Be Careful and Drip feat. Migos. The album also features a blockbuster line up of appearances including Chance The Rapper, SZA, Migos, Kehlani, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and YG.
The 2x GRAMMY® Award-nominated rap superstar will celebrate the arrival of Invasion of Privacy with a number of TV performances including joining host Chadwick Boseman as the guest on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Cardi also joins Jimmy Fallon as the first ever co-host in addition to being the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Furthermore, Cardi B will also be celebrating Invasion of Privacy by releasing a new line of merch, which can be found at her official webstore.
Cardi B will do a series of concert performances throughout 2018, kicking off with a debut at Indio, CA’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on 15 and 22 April, plus a Bruno Mars showing on his final leg of the 24K Magic World tour with dates starting in September 2018.
In addition, Cardi B recently released the long-awaited video for her platinum certified smash hit, Bartier Cardi ft. 21 Savage. The video – directed by famed artist Petra Collins – premiered during an episode of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and already boasts over 4 million views.
Breakout hit ‘Bodak Yellow’
Cardi B recently won two iHeart Radio Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best New Hip Hop Artist. She is on the April cover of Cosmopolitan after recent cover appearances in Rolling Stone, The New York Times Magazine, i-D Magazine, and CR Fashion Book. Cardi B made history last year with the release of her breakout hit Bodak Yellow. The now 5x platinum smash hit spent three historic weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 – the first solo #1 by a female hip-hop artist in nearly two decades. Furthermore, “Bodak Yellow” is the #1 certified debut song in the last year and is one of the Top Ten certified songs released in the past year.
