Great news is that the Dave Matthews Band has confirmed shows in South Africa this year. The band is set to headline SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria on 10 December and Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on 12 December, 2023.
The gigs mark the band’s first performances in Dave Matthews’ home country of South Africa since 2013.
An online ticket presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association begins on 7 June at 7am local time via www.warehouse.davematthewsband.com. The Discovery Bank presale is open to Discovery Bank Cardholders through Ticketmaster.co.za from Wednesday, 7 June, at 9am local time until Friday, 9 June at 8:59 am local time.

Walk Around The Moon
The South African shows come off the heels of Dave Matthews Band releasing their 10th studio album, Walk Around The Moon, on RCA Records. Walk Around The Moon is a pandemic-born record that is as much a reflection on the current times as it is an urge to find common ground. The 12-track album, recorded with producer Rob Evans in studios throughout Seattle, Charlottesville, and Los Angeles, captures this moment in time.

On another note, Dave Matthews’ ongoing partnership with The Nature Conservancy has resulted in three million trees being planted since 2020. This year’s continued partnership will bring the total to four million trees.
