After launching his clothing range in Johannesburg, Mr South Africa 2017 Habib Noorbhai, now showcases it in Cape Town.
The range comprises of hand-made woven jackets (main range) and Indo-western tuxedos and jackets (minor range). Both of these ranges are novel in the South African clothing and fashion markets.
Habib developed a passion for jackets and tuxedos a few years ago and wants to introduce a sleek, elegant and unique range for men’s fashion. There are many woven jackets made in South Africa. However, most of these are machine-woven and labelled as ‘hand-woven’; with most being imported from overseas.

Designed, hand woven by Marthinus Höll
Local designer Marthinus Höll has been a couturier with exclusive material weaving experience of 46 years since 1971 – ranging from women’s dresses, scarves, jackets, suits, matric wear and shawls. Habib is honoured and humbled to have established this relationship with him.
Habib is hosting a media launch for this clothing range HN clothing in Cape Town on Thursday, 21 September 2017 at The Artscape Theatre Centre. On the day, Marthinus will demonstrate the work that goes into weaving material and making the jackets from scratch. Thereafter, a mini-fashion show will be performed. Whereby three models (SA Bachelor of the year – Emanuel Pieterson, Mr Pretoria 2017 – Felex Brown and Top 5 Mr SA 2016 finalist – Brendt Wayne DeWet) will showcase the range of exclusive hand-woven jackets -the first of its kind in South Africa.
