The Liefde by die Dam concert at Emmarentia Dam on Sunday, 5 August 2018 stages some of South Africa’s top artists for this fifth edition of the annual show. Liefde by die Dam, named after Valiant Swart’s hit song, strives to serve as a for the best local music. The program includes music for both young and old – which makes it an ideal day out with your family or ‘besties’.

Die Heuwels Fantasties, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Francois van Coke, Koos Kombuis, Elvis Blue, Bongeziwe Mabandla and Bouwer Bosch. The MC will be Afrikaans comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout.
Die Heuwels Fantasties, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Francois van Coke, Bouwer Bosch and Elvis Blue have all been making headlines in the past few years. And with the release of new singles and albums they have collectively won numerous local music awards. Legendary Koos Kombuis, and the captivating new face of Afro-folk artist Bongeziwe Mabandla, and the stage is set for a memorable concert.
Pierre Greeff from Die Heuwels Fantasties adds: “Liefde by die Dam is a concert with a phenomenal line up, and we also aim to pay some love forward. Bring your own picnic blanket and leave it behind after the concert. The Liefde team will make sure that the blankets find new homes where needed.” All in partnership with Jacaranda FM, more music you love.

For your day out at the dam there will be a range of South Africa’s best artisan food traders. You can also BYO picnic baskets.
