Local is always ‘lekker’ in Darling, so locals step out presenting a selection of gourmet produce, including breads, cheese, mushrooms, charcuterie, wors, sauces, olive oils and more. Popular craft beers from Darling Brew are always a big hit.

The market is a safe playground for children on the rolling lawns, plus there’s tractor rides, face painting, water balls and target shooting. After browsing through the stalls visitors can relax in the shade and enjoy DJ Riaan’s Old School Entertainment.

Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual note: booking essential. Pets welcome on a leash.  Visitors arriving without dogs on a leash can buy one from a SPCA stall, or hire one on the spot.

There’ll be plenty of fresh picnic fare
