Two single pastors put their faith in their churches and their families to help them find a wife in Pastor Wants A Wife, a new 13-part reality TV show that exposes viewers to church and family dynamics when a pastor seeks to find the love of his life.
Watch it on Mzansi Magic DStv channel 161 every Thursday (beginning April 2021) at 8pm.
The show sees family members, friends and senior church pastors meet six potential wives-to-be in a series of dates as they gauge how compatible they are with the bachelor pastor. They will eventually help him choose a beautiful bride that he will one day exchange wedding vows with.
“Viewers should look forward to an intriguing show that will explore the family and church dynamics that come with a pastor looking for love outside of his church in a reality TV show that will be both entertaining, emotive and informative,” says Nomsa Philiso, the Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.
“Our reality TV content slate has over time kept consumers on the edge of their seats due to its ‘talkability’ and relevance, and without doubt, Pastor Wants A Wife will be a hit show especially to our spiritual viewers,” she adds.
Over 13 episodes, Apostle Aaron Zion Khunou and Pastor Lincoln Fero will be introduced to the viewers on the first episode, before taking a back seat as viewers meet six potential wife candidates for each of the two pastors.
After this, family members will meet the wives-to-be over lunch before eliminating one candidate after conferring with the pastor. The same process will apply when the remaining ladies meet the friends of the pastor over a casual braai, attend the churches of the respective pastors, before two remaining ladies eventually get to sit down with the bachelor pastors for a romantic dinner and a weekend escape before the pastor chooses his bride to be.
Former flames on Love Back
Pastor Wants A Wife was created and produced by Connect tv, the same company that brought you Our Perfect Wedding and Date My Family.
“We believe in a story of love and through this new show, we hope that viewers will get a front-row seat to family and church dynamics when a pastor sets on a journey to find love. We have also lined up great potential wives whom viewers will find themselves falling in love with every step of the way,” says Basetsana Kumalo, the co-owner of Connect TV.
This April 2021, Mzansi viewers can also look forward to the return of Love Back, where the show’s host Mzwandile Ngubeni helps lovers rekindle love with their former flame. Now returning for Season 5, Love Back introduces the pursuer, before Ngubeni meets the former lover, which leads to the big reveal at the end – the meeting between the two ex-lovers for the pursuer to convince their ex to get back together.
Mzansi viewers can also look forward to Love Back every Tuesday on Mzansi Magic DStv channel 161 from April 6, 2021 at 8pm.
