He witnesses the world’s most stunning natural wonders and finds out why the far north has such a magnetic lure for its extraordinary inhabitants, in a challenging adventure in which he needs to survive wildly unpredictable weather and temperatures as low as ‐40 degrees Celsius.

Coast New Zealand Series 1 (6 episodes) – From Tuesday 17 January at 6.30pm on BBC Earth, channel 184 on DStv.
Hosted by renowned Scottish archaeologist and historian Neil Oliver, Coast crosses the Tasman Sea to say “kia ora” to the land of the long white cloud. Neil leads a team of local presenters as they gather stories about New Zealand’s spectacular coastline: the history, the people, the archaeology, the geography and the marine life, investigating interesting and little known facts along the way. This series transports viewers to a picturesque paradise, Coast New Zealand captures the magnificence and diversity of these remote Pacific islands’ coastlines.

There’s a new set of ultra-rich, jet-setting party animals in the world: the Rich Kids of Social Media, who document every aspect of their fabulous and frequently debauched lives for their millions of followers to envy and enjoy. There’s Emir in Turkey, heir to a massive property empire who considers himself the country’s closest thing to royalty. In the USA, Timothy charters flights around the world to stave off the boredom of never having to work. In the UK, 16-year-old Adil likes to pick up his friends for school in his personal chauffeured Bentley. It’s a different world when you’re young, loaded and the focus of millions of peoples’ attention.
Amazing Spaces: Shed of the Year Series 2 (4 episodes) – Sunday 22 January at 5pm on BBC Lifestyle channel 174 on DStv.
George Clarke returns for a second series to reveal some of Britain’s most extraordinary sheds, all of which are battling to be crowned ‘Shed of the Year’ 2015. In series two, George discovers sheds that include a home cinema, a miniature, a ‘shedservatory’ – with a state-of-the-art telescope for stargazing –a 1950s diner, a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ shed and a Nepalese Mountain Hut. There’s also a Japanese treehouse, a gothic folly, an Anglo Saxon dwelling and George Bernard Shaw’s writing hut – which are taking part in the ‘Unique’ and ‘Historical’ categories. The show reaches its climax when George and the team vote for the overall winner.
The Getaway Car Series 1 (13 episodes) – Sunday 22 January at 9pm on BBC Brit channel 120 on DStv.
Set at the exclusive TGC Raceway, The Getaway Car sees friends and family take part in the ultimate relationship road test. Each episode sees five couples go head to head in an action-packed competition, as they take on a series of driving, obstacle and quiz challenges. Their driving skills, general knowledge and above all their relationships will be put to the test over three rounds that will ultimately determine which couple will reach the adrenaline-charged final, The Getaway Chase.
