Popular Cape Town restaurant The Yard at Silo has quickly become known for its bold take on Asian and European cuisines. Now restaurant-goers are being treated to a choice of new meals, also with a Euro-Asian twist, courtesy of The Yard’s brunch menu which is served every Sunday from 10am onwards.
Live jazz also enhances the Sunday brunch experience from 12pm to 3pm.
A selection of delectable options
The Yard’s all-new brunch menu features a range of options designed to satisfy any and all tastes. The classic brunch menu will include croissants and Eggs Benedict, topped with The Yard’s Maltaise sauce – a blend of blood orange juice and classic Hollandaise sauce.
Health nuts can choose between Bircher Muesli (mixed with berries, rooibos, cinnamon-spiced peaches and a crumbed nut brittle) and an egg-white soufflé omelette (made with brie cheese, wild mushrooms, avocado and baby spinach).
Those with a sweet tooth are invited to try a selection of delectable options, including berry-and-liquorice and lemon meringue waffles. Bagel-lovers can enjoy a fresh bagel served with saffron chicken tikka and a side of turmeric mayo and mango chutney.
Brunch showpiece
The Yard also serves savoury waffles with a choice of grated beef mince bobotie, prawn bisque or chicken tikka masala toppings.
The Yard’s brunch showpiece is traditional Indian dosa, which is both vegan and gluten-free. This fermented rice flour pancake is co-founder G.P. Singh’s signature offering. Dosas can be ordered with chicken biryani, keema-spiced lamb, palak paneer or dal makhani.
Based in the Silo District, a new and trendy niche in the popular V&A Waterfront, The Yard is the ideal venue for a brunch catch-up with friends. Restaurant-goers can enjoy meals from the Yard’s new menu while overlooking the harbour and tugboat moorings.
