In the first week of August 2018, The Academy Of Sound Engineering will host a three day event called ASE Live at the Reeler Centre Theatre in Rondebosch, Cape Town.

Three of Cape Town’s top musical acts will be on stage – Freshlyground, The Sweet Resistance and The Buddy Wells Quartet with special guest Mark Fransman on piano.

South African icons Freshlyground will be performing songs from their new album ‘Can’t Stop’ as well as hits such as Doo Bee Doo, Pot Belly, Fire Is Low and Waka Waka.

Since they arrived on the SA music scene two years ago, The Sweet Resistance have had two Top 30 hits and their debut record ‘Where There Is Hope’ received a SAMA nomination for Best Rock Album. Their live act, featuring the extraordinary guitar and vocal talents of Natasha Meister, is not to be missed.

Saturday, 4 August 2018 – The Buddy Wells Quartet 

Smoking hot saxman Buddy Wells is one of Cape Town’s best known jazz musicians. He’s played with everybody! He’ll appear together with a stellar line-up of top class musicians, including Mark Fransman on piano. Expect top class jazz from the quartet.

Only 100 tickets are available to the public each night. So snap them up at at R120 per gig.
