Enjoy the Cape Peninsula with a Winter Walk this Saturday, 1 July. Get out and experience the ‘Cape Buchu leg’ – a great day to meet others, adventure on foot, see magnificent natural beauty and spend time by yourself.
This is the longest of the local Cape Camino’s 10 legs, and is 22km – so walk it at your own pace.

Start time: 8am
What to wear/bring: Comfortable walking shoes and socks (they can be your camino boots but not necessary), your Camino sticks if you like, a bottle of water, a hat, sunblock, a rain jacket (winter is our rainy season), lunch or money to buy lunch.
Route Terrain: Mostly peri-urban, some tar and some gravel.
NOTE: To walk single file. Some parts have very little walk way.
Transport: Up to you. You can leave your car at Boulders Beach Lodge and Uber back at the end of the day.
Begin: Boulder’s Beach Lodge at 8am.
End: Camel Rock, Scarborough. The route should be about 5-6 hours, depending on your pace.
Food:
Bring your own. Or buy brunch at the Ostrich Farm along the way and then dine at Camel Rock for a late lunch.
