Booking is now open for the first set of concerts for the Cape Town Concert Series 2025. The year is extra special year for the Concert Series as they celebrate 70 years of music making. 

In addition to their regular concerts at the Baxter, the Concert Series will celebrating the start of 2025 with a special Gala Recital with pianist George Harliono at the Cape Town City Hall on Saturday 18 January at 11am.

Harliono will also open the Cape Town Philarmonic Orchestra’s Summer Festival season in the FOM Gala concert.

Concert lineup for 2025

Next year’s season at the Baxter begins on 25 January, 2025, with the with the celebrated Notos Piano Quartet from Germany. 

On 15 February the Italian Spina and Benignetti Piano Duo will present a programme of transcriptions for 4 hands.

On 15 March they are proud to be the debut concert of the newly formed Baxter Trio featuring three of Cape Town’s finest musicians – Francois du Toit, Farida Bacharova and Graham du Plessis.  

April 12 brings a unique concert of Percussion Chamber Music. Magda de Vries performs with Eugene Trofimczyk from the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra along with Stephan Galfin and Dylan Tabisher. 

On 10 May pianist Rebeca Omordia launches her African Pianism concept, and rounding off the season will be a violin recital with Andrey Baranov on 21 June. 

All concerts take place at 11am in the Baxter Concert Hall, Rondebosch.
