GOT Season 8 episode 3

Game of Thrones has been dubbed the most epic TV series of all time. Here’s MEGAN FURNISS’ reading of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 – the endless Fight.

Spoiler Alert!

I’ve got a GoT hangover headache this morning. I knew this great battle that would last an entire, very long episode was not going to be my best one, and it really wasn’t.

And the tiny, surprise payoff at the end wasn’t enough to keep me interested in the endless onslaught of the hideous and unbelievable walking dead.

Dark Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3

I like my baddies and villains to be characters. Boss of the white walkers, let’s face it, has no personality. And his army of old dead and recently killed dead, are all millions and millions of the same unfeeling, mass moving horde. But, that’s who was coming to meet and threaten the alive and cared about at Winterfell, and many faves were lost.

I am going to need a list though, because it was so dark and gritty and full of rattling bones, and heads rolling and blood splattering, and eyes popping and horrible grunting I can’t remember exactly who was slaughtered and who survived.

But. C’mon Dany and Jon! What on earth were you doing while everyone was fighting? Flying on dragons who were struggling to see in the icy mist, is what you were busy doing! While all those who had committed to you were dying on the ground you were both trying to keep your balance on the backs’ of incomprehensibly unable dragons. And we had to see this a hundred times! Really. Neither of you had a game plan that took your people into account. Sies.

I am deeply curious to see how the following episodes will play out now that the battle is over. Will it all rest on Cercei? Obviously, I am still hooked in, but mostly, I am glad that the white walkers and their totally unexplainable mission is done.

I can’t believe this story and these people have been influencing my life for 8 years. What will happen when it is over?
