Little Shop of Horrors synopsis

Something is not quite right at the flower shop around the corner. Something ominous is going on. But what can really be so staggering about an exotic little plant, or a dentist for that matter? It is exactly the combination of these two that gives Little Shop of Horrors its name.

Mr Mushnik’s business is pretty sad: the flowers have lost their sparkle and money is not coming in. Shop assistant Audrey is in a toxic relationship and slowly wilting away alongside all the other flowers in the shop.

Her colleague Seymour is supposed to keep the place shiny, but the light in his eyes dim every time Audrey fails to see and acknowledge his charming advances. But change does come when a surprisingly monstrous plant with a lust for blood decided to sprout into existence.
