Megan Furniss Gets Cooking – Hummus

One of my go-to things to make is hummus. It is a vegan staple and it is a snack, meal, spread, salad dressing ingredient and comfort-eat-the-whole-thing-with-a-spoon necessity in my house.

I know that the hard-core hummus makers cook their own lentils but that is a bridge too far for me. Canned is perfectly fine thank you very much.

(more or less, because, taste, add, taste)

1 can chickpeas

2 massive tablespoons of tahini (or more to taste)

Lemon juice (I use a whole one)

Two glugs of olive oil (most recipes call for more, but I use a bit of water or aquafaba to make it creamy and light)

1 or 2 cloves of garlic

2 teaspoons of cumin

Salt to taste

Paprika and olive oil to serve


Blitz all ingredients, taste, season, eat.
