The popular SA Cheese Festival has clocked up 19 years and this anniversary promises a good long weekend escape in 2020.
Festivalgoers can look forward to a major cheese spread over Freedom Day long weekend from Saturday 25 April to Monday 27 April 2020 at Sandringham outside Stellenbosch.

The South African Cheese Festival programme also includes tasting experiences in the Standard Bank Tasting Room, outdoor music concerts by Spoegwolf and other artists, and fun activities such as the Ladismith Cheese carving competition and the Laughing Cow Kiddies Corner.
Festival times are from 10am to 6pm daily at Sandringham, which is located next to the N1, Stellenbosch turn-off (exit 39), between Cape Town and Paarl.
SA Cheese Festival tickets are R240 per day, with an early bird offer of R200 until 31 January 2020. A #FestivalFriends group ticket for 4 people costs R860 – a saving of R100. Senior citizens pay R200 and children (2 to 13 years) R20. Tickets are available at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers. Note: No tickets at the gates.
