Some of South Africa’s finest Shiraz wines will be available for sampling at this year’s Shiraz & Charcuterie at Anthonij Rupert Wyne in Franschhoek which will take place on Saturday, May 27.
A selection of delicious charcuterie – that will be served to accompanying the Shiraz tastings – means the event is guaranteed to be a culinary match made in heaven.
Participating producers include Rust en Vrede, Waterford, Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines, Hartenberg Wine Estate, Simonsig and Thelema among others.
Shiraz is ideally suited to the colder months and attendees can savour a glass or two with one of the hearty winter-inspired dishes that will be on offer.
Drawing inspiration from the Rhône Valley, food choices will include a traditional French Onion Soup and homemade Saucisson served with braised cannellini beans. The always popular Olive Bar, with a selection of the finest artisanal olives to choose from, is certain to add that extra touch to the quintessence of a classic food and wine pairing taste sensation.
