The SoloAfrika Festival of Monodrama takes place at the Artscape Arena Theatre. Monodrama runs from 4 to 9 September, 2017.
The schedule
4 Sept: Playing Maggie – Pip Utton UK
“Fringe veteran and master of the self-written character monologue, Utton raises the bar with his embodiment of Margaret Thatcher, by flying without a net or, in this case, a script.” http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-news/canberra-life/pip-uttons-playing-maggie-at-the-street-theatre-a-perfect-history-lesson-20170212-gubbiq.html. 6.30pm, 10% discount on block bookings for 10+ tickets

7 Sept: Fat Man’s Coop – Dominic Paulsen
The stigma of being obese coupled with depression sent Dom into an abyss of suicidal thoughts. His Coop was no longer safe!” https://www.facebook.com/Fat-Mans-Coop-1484777998510766/ 7pm. R100. 10% discount on block bookings for 10+ tickets.
8 Sept: For Generations – Kurt Egelhof
“How does a family with a changing racial identity survive four generations of life in South Africa from WW2 to the present time?” http://news.artsmart.co.za/2009/04/for-generations_14.html 2pm R60, 7pm R100. Concessions Students and Pensioners.

Stepping onstage he commands the attention of the entire room as the Fuhrer delivers his farewell speech to his staff in his Berlin bunker, during the final hours of his life.” http://www.pip-utton.co.uk/page28.html. 7pm, R100. 10% discount on block bookings for 10+ tickets.
