Gibson’s bumper selection of 40 burgers secured them the title of Best Burger Eatery in the Western Cape, but another highlight at the V&A Waterfront eaterie is their mega milkshake menu. A feature which makes them a good seaside pit-stop this summer.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth and plenty of the stamina, their humungous 850ml Freek Shakes hit the spot as they’re jam-packed with indulgent treats.
A Peppermint Caramel Freek Shake overflows with chunks of mint chocolate, caramel toffee and peppermint crisp, wafers, caramel sauce, whipped cream and mint crumble. Then there’s the Chocolate Nemesis Freek Shake filled with chocolate ganache, milk and dark chocolate discs, chocolate brownies, oreo cookies, wafers, whipped cream and pretzels. Yes please!
For something fresh try their Strawberry Freek Shake, which is bursting with fresh strawberries, marshmallows, meringue, jelly beans, 100’s and 1000’s sprinkles, coconut ice blocks and whipped cream.
Gibson’s offering of handspun double-thick Gourmet Shakes has also been upped to a mighty 100 yummy flavours, with the option for over 18s to pump up the flavour experience by adding a variety of liqueurs and whisky.
Molkshake lovers can also look out for new insane flavours like Toffee Apple & Fudge, Nutella Mascarpone, Ice Lolly, Tutti-Frutti, Oreo Cheesecake, Jelly & Custard and Peanut Butter Brownie.
Keep healthy with yoghurt shakes
For a healthy option, Gibson’s have introduced a selection of delicious shakes made with Greek yoghurt. These include an Avo & Mint Yoghurt Shake, a Goji Berry & Honey Yoghurt Shake, a Honey & Toasted Almond Yoghurt Shake, a Banana & Chai Yoghurt Shake, a Fresh Strawberry Yoghurt Shake, a Fresh Blueberry Yoghurt Shake and a Fresh Mango Yoghurt Shake.
But wait – there’s more! In addition to a selection of decadent desserts like Bar-One & Oreo Sundae, the venue is going back to 60’s diner style, introducing Jelly and Custard and gooey Chocolate Brownies.
