The Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay is a great place to meet, eat and shop in Cape Town. Now the venue is adding four extra night markets over the festive period for shoppers. These dates are 20, 21, 27 and 28 December from 5pm to 10pm.
There’ll also be bands on the KWV Sound Stage, plus DJ Eben on decks in the Beach Yard, playing groovy seaside house music. As always, there’ll be more than 100 stalls, various bars and a mix of delish dining experiences.

More than 100 stalls
The night markets at Bay Harbour Market offer food to die for, a variety of craft beverages and more than 100 stalls with fabulous goodies for Christmas gifts.
Bay Harbour Market founder, Anthony Stroebel, says few shopping destinations offer such a uniquely social and eclectic shopping experience: “There is no doubt that we’re one of the most fun places in Cape Town to do some Christmas shopping. What can sometimes seem like a task now becomes a happy experience with friends and family as you mosey about a glass of bubbles in one hand and enjoy awesome live local musos in the background. Isn’t that what the holiday season should be about?”
Between now and the night markets, Bay Harbour Market will be giving away two shopping sprees valued R5000. To enter: visit the market, snap a selfie with your favourite gift and comment why it’s on your wish list using the hashtag #mywishlist or #lekkerinacracker.
As usual, the market will be open every weekend: 5 pm-9pm on Fridays and 9.30pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
