Popular social sport and entertainment festival, The Zando Cape Town 10s, celebrates its 10th anniversary. It returns to Hamilton Rugby Club from 2 to 3 February 2018, featuring a winning blend of sporting disciplines, plus four new sporting codes.

8 different sporting codes
All will be in the presence of the world’s biggest sporting legends, with the backdrop of an iconic host city. This celebratory year is set to attract old and new fans to the event that has captured the hearts and spirit of the South African sports-mad nation since 2009.
This winner of the Discovery Sports Industry Award for Best Live Experience in 2016 will feature 8 different sporting codes, including rugby, netball, dodgeball, beach volleyball, as well as the newly introduced sports of 5 aside soccer and hockey, the ‘Run the 10s’ fun run and a unique fitness event.
Wait for the 2018 line-up
Over the years, 10s has featured a number of memorable moments, including guest appearances by the world’s greatest sporting legends: the late Jonah Lomu, Tana Umaga, Christian Cullen, Bryan Habana and former Protea skipper Graeme Smith. It’s going to be interesting to see the 2018 line-up, which is set to be announced in the coming months.
For those that aren’t too fussed with the sporting aspect, there is the entertainment, which further cements the event as one that appeals to everyone. Guests can expect entertainment by Fokofpolisiekar, GoodLuck, Sketchy Bongo, DJ Sox, Majozi and The Light Years, who’ll be staged inside “Africa’s biggest beer tent”.

Launched in 2009 by rugby legends Bob Skinstad, Rob Fleck and their long-standing mate Ron Rutland, the event has come a long way since its start, with 22 rugby teams and a total of 350 teams expected to participate across the 8 sporting codes in 2018.
Team entries for a number of sports are already sold out and event tickets are expected to fly, as the team continues to announce new additions to the 10 year anniversary event. Celebrating 10 years of 10s!
