Get those mini-supporter jerseys ready because the HSBC Sevens is now an event that the whole family can enjoy! Virgin Active will be running an exciting Club-V Kids Activation Zone at the Cape Town Stadium to keep kids between the ages of 3 and 13 active and entertained over the period 9 and 10 December.
The event is hugely popular, with over 50 000 people attending each day, and Virgin Active South Africa’s National Junior Member Manager, Catherine Coupar says “Club-V offers parents downtime and kiddos uptime, with loads of movement activities available in our zone, along with music, games and fully qualified staff to keep little ones safe while they play.”
Tailored for two age groups
The access-controlled zone will offer a fully shaded area, close to the stadium’s designated family-friendly north stand, with a variety of programmes, games and activities tailored to two age groups (3-7 years and 8 – 13 years) including mini trampolines, cricket, soccer, rugby, obstacle courses and dancing with their very own DJ.
Little ones will participate in Virgin Active’s brand new Mini Movers programme, designed in conjunction with Stellenbosch Kinderkinetics, to develop basic movement skills in toddlers. Older kiddos will participate in Virgin Active curated programmes including Active Play, a fundamental skills development programme, and Go52, a high intensity interval training programme for 8 to 13-year olds.
The Club-V zone will operate free of charge at the stadium from 9am – 5.30pm on both days, to give the whole family a fun day out. Parents are asked to bring along proof of ID when signing their little ones in and out.
