Showmax highlights for February 2025 include a five-pack of international series, many of which are much-awaited follow-ups to popular titles.
While the new White Lotus may not have iconic Jennifer Coolidge this time around, it does promise more of the cringe-binge factor we associate with the award-winning series. And Yellowjackets gets even more crazy-scary, with additional guests Hilary Swank and Joel McHale adding to the mayhem. And Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) gets all Armageddon in The Last of Us.
The White Lotus S3 | From Monday, 17 February 2025
Winner of 15 Emmys, The White Lotus returns for a third instalment following a new group of guests at another White Lotus hotel, this time in Thailand.
Once again written and directed by Mike White, this season’s star-studded cast includes Emmy nominees Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, and Walton Goggins, Teen Choice nominees Leslie Bibb and Patrick Schwarzenegger, Critics Choice nominee Michelle Monaghan, and BAFTA winner Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), one of IMDb’s Top Stars To Watch in 2025. Natasha Rothwell also returns to her Emmy-nominated Season 1 role as Belinda.
Yellowjackets S3 | February 2025
The third season of the Emmy-nominated series continues to explore the harrowing survival story of the high school women’s soccer team who crashed in the wilderness in 1996. Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) and Critics Choice nominee Joel McHale (Community) join this season’s cast, which also sees Melanie Lynskey and Christina Ricci return to their Emmy-nominated roles.
Suits: LA | From Monday, 24 February 2025
NBC’s Suits was the most streamed series in the world in 2023, so it’s no surprise we’re now getting a spinoff from the original series creator, Aaron Korsh, or that it’s in the top 10 on IMDb’s Most Anticipated New TV list for 2025. Teen Choice winner Stephen Amell (Arrow) stars in Suits: LA as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.
Gabriel Macht returns to the franchise to guest star as Harvey Specter, while the new cast includes Josh McDermitt (Eugene in The Walking Dead).
The Last Of Us S2 | April 2025
Last year, The Last of Us won seven Critics Choice Super Awards, including Best Horror and Best Superhero, as well as Best Actor (Pedro Pascal), Actress (Bella Ramsey) and Villain (Melanie Lynskey), not to mention eight Emmys, including Guest Actor and Actress prizes for Murray Bartlett and Storm Reid.
Five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind. New cast include Oscar nominee Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction), Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Emmy nominees Kaitlyn Dever (Unbelievable) and Young Mazino (Beef), and Ariela Barer, Danny Ramirez, Isabela Merced and Tati Gabrielle, four of IMDb’s Top Stars To Watch in 2025.
Gangs of London S3 | TBC, 2025
The Emmy- and BAFTA-nominated series Gangs of London returns for its third season as chaos erupts in London after a spiked shipment of cocaine kills hundreds. In the ruthless fight for control of London’s criminal underworld, no one is safe. This was no accident — it was a calculated attack. But who’s pulling the strings?
Returning cast include Critics Choice Super nominee Sopẹ́ Dìrísù, BAFTA nominees Joe Cole and Lucian Msamati, and Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark in Game of Thrones).
