The West End Jazz Festival will exit 2018 with a bang sporting a line-up of top acts. Club West End in Rylands is staging the showcase on Sunday, 30 December.
Some of Cape Town’s best musicians, plus Choko from Trinidad and Tobago, will ensure this will be an evening to remember.
Choko is known for his Caribbean rhythms and energetic live performances. He’ll be officially introduced to Cape Town music lovers on the night. Then there’s vocalist Vuvu Khumalo; classy fusion band Top Dog SA featuring accomplished jazzman Richard Ceaser and saxman Donveno Prins; as well as new young band SignatureSA.
Fabulous Uncle Cal, the Kung Fu Deejay with the trademark Afro, will be spinning classic old school and current dance tunes in-between sets.
More about Vuvu
Vuvu Khumalo is known as the Old School Disco Diva. She has performed at Jazz on the Rocks and Love Jazz Cruise hosted by Clarence Ford. This potent singer has built up a good following with her engaging renditions of Motown classics.

Led by keyboardist Camillo Lombard, Top Dog SA comprise some of the most talented musicians in the country, and they never disappoint when on stage. Richard Ceasar is a brilliant vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, while Donveno is known for the saxy vibes he dishes up on sax.
SignatureSA are currently busy completing their first album. The youthful ensemble comes from Belhar and Elsies River on the Cape Flats.
To make things even more exciting for revellers, Camissa Solutions are sponsoring great prizes for the MosJazz International Music Festival, which is happening from 17 to 20 January 2019 at De Bakke Santos resort in Mossel Bay. A plot for six people and weekend passes are among the cool prizes up for grabs!
